NEED A MODEL?

If you are in need of a model, send us an email as soon as possible with the requirements (height, bust size, hip size, waist size, gender, etc.) you need.

COMMUNICATIONS

There will be an email list created for 2026 designers and models.  We have email addresses for all designers but not for all models.  Please note that it is YOUR responsibility to make sure your model is kept up to date. We can add models to the email list.  Please send model email addresses to contact@bloomingtontrashion.org

ORIENTATION ZOOM MEETING

All first-time designers and models are strongly advised to attend this meeting which will help you prepare for the show. If you have participated in the past, and want a refresher, you are welcome to join in! There will be time for Q&A.

INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO FOR THE RUNWAY

Thanks to Deb Christiansen and Lucas Lim we have an 8 minute video that shows the path models will follow during the show.  We encourage both new and experienced models to review this video before the Zoom meeting and rehearsals:  Trashion BCT Model Pathway

REHEARSAL

All models and designers should attend rehearsal on Sunday, March 29th, at Harmony School gymnasium, 909 East 2nd. St, Bloomington, IN, 47401. We will have 2 sections of rehearsal, one for each act of the show.

Similar to last year, each act will be a mix of Trashion and Refashion. We will determine the sequence for the March 29 rehearsal and will notify you of which time you should attend.

Please have your model wear the shoes they will be wearing for the show. You do not need to bring your design, but if you are looking for a model, it will help to bring your design to the rehearsals.

HAIRSTYLING AND MAKEUP AT TRICOCI UNIVERSITY

We are working with Tricoci again to arrange for hairstyling and makeup the day of the show. More information coming!

RUNWAY MUSIC

Our DJ Adriane Pontecorvo can play different music as each design is on the runway.  If you have a request please send it to contact@bloomingtontrashion.org.  Adriane may not be able to play a request if the song is not in the public domain, but she can look for something similar.

DRESS REHEARSAL

Dress rehearsal happens on the day of the show – Sunday, April 12th, at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater 114 E. Kirkwood Ave, Bloomington, IN 47408. We will run through the show in sequence. You will receive instructions on the time you need to arrive. Check-in time will be early afternoon with an exact time yet to be determined.

At the dress rehearsal we will have a photobooth in the theater’s lobby to get detailed photos of designs after the models leave the runway. Please make sure that your model is in full hair and makeup for these photos! See past year examples on our Flickr site of our “photo booth” or “studio shot” albums.

TICKETS

Designers, models, and guardians do not need to purchase tickets. We will provide seats as needed for you.

DESIGN IMAGES

Please do not share images of your designs – especially on social media – prior to the Runway Show. Also please avoid wearing designs in public. Surprise is a key element of the show!
