We are looking forward to seeing your designs on the runway this year! This page contains all the info you will need to prepare for the show.
KEY DATES
- ASAP – respond to contact@bloomingtontrashion.org to confirm your participation in this year’s show and let us know if you need a model

- Thursday March 13, 7pm – Zoom Orientation (mandatory for first-timers; all are welcome)
- Monday March 24, 5pm – Last day to request a ticket (for designers attending but not modeling their designs and guardians of models or designers who are under 18 years old) https://forms.gle/aMZi9E7evyuV9rFU9
- Sunday March 30 – Mandatory rehearsal at Harmony School
- Group 1 meet at 2pm
- Group 2 meet at 3pm
- Tuesday April 1, 4-6pm – “pull day #1” at My Sister’s Closet
- Thursday April 3 – Last day to submit request for hair/makeup support (Online form in development)
- Saturday April 5, 8-10am – “pull day #2” at My Sister’s Closet
- Sunday April 13 – Dress Rehearsal at the Buskirk
- Group 1 check-in will be at 1:15pm
- Group 2 check-in will be at 2:45pm
- Sunday April 13 – 16TH ANNUAL RUNWAY SHOW!!!! Doors open at 6:30pm

NEED A MODEL?
If you are in need of a model, send us an email as soon as possible with the size model you need. We are grateful to have 30+ people of various sizes volunteering to model this year!
COMMUNICATIONS
There will be an email list created for 2025 designers and models. We have email addresses for all designers but not for all models. Please note that it is YOUR responsibility to make sure your model is kept up to date. We can add models to the email list. Please send model email addresses to contact@bloomingtontrashion.org.
ORIENTATION ZOOM MEETING
All first-time designers and models are strongly advised to attend this meeting which will help you prepare for the show. If you have participated in the past, and want a refresher, you are welcome to join in! There will be time for Q&A.

REHEARSAL
We will have 2 sections of rehearsal on Sunday March 30th at Harmony School gymnasium, 909 East 2nd. St, Bloomington, IN, 47401.
Similar to last year, we will have two runways, and each lineup will be a mix of Trashion and Refashion. We will determine the sequence for the March 30 rehearsal and will notify you of which time you should attend: the first runway will start at 2 pm; the second will start at 3 pm; however, you are welcome to attend both if you like!
Please have your model wear the shoes they will be wearing for the show. You do not need to bring your design, but if you are looking for a model, it will help to bring your design to the rehearsals.
HAIRSTYLING AND MAKEUP AT TRICOCI UNIVERSITY
Hair styling and makeup at Tricoci University, 1681 N College, Bloomington, IN 47404, will again be available on the day of the show. Submit your request for styling support at no later than Thursday, April 3rd. The styling is free however, Tricoci students do appreciate your tips!
PULL DAYS AT MY SISTER’S CLOSET
Are you nearly all the way there with your design, but could use some additional fabric? Go to My Sister’s Closet (414 S. College Ave) on Tuesday April 1 from 4-6pm and/or on Saturday April 5 from 8-10am to search through select donations for that element that will put your design over the top! When you arrive, just let the person at the desk know that you are a Trashion designer there for “pull day”!
RUNWAY MUSIC
Our DJ Adriane Pontecorvo can play different music as each design is on the runway. If you have a request please send it to contact@bloomingtontrashion.org. Adriane may not be able to play a request if the song is not in the public domain, but she can look for something similar.
DRESS REHEARSAL
Dress rehearsal happens on the day of the show – Sunday, April,13th at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater 114 E. Kirkwood Ave, Bloomington, IN 47408. We will run through the show in sequence. You will receive instructions on the time you need to arrive. Group 1 check-in will be at 1:15pm; Group 2 check-in will be at 2:45pm.
At the dress rehearsal we will have a photobooth in the theater’s lobby to get detailed photos of designs after the models leave the runway. Please make sure that your model is in full hair and makeup for these photos! TICKETS
Models do not need to purchase tickets. Designers and guardians who need a seat for the show can let us know who you are by completing this form https://forms.gle/7pz8eacFD13yAM7i8. Please respond no later than Monday March 24th.
2025 DESIGN IMAGES
Please do not share images of your designs – especially on social media – prior to the April 13th event. Also please avoid wearing designs in public. Surprise is a key element of the show!
